ORCON AEROSPACE can handle your thermal acoustic insulation requirements from creating custom blankets to installation.

ORCON’s blanket fabrication process is heavily automated, relying upon a CAD/CAM system to ensure repeatability, quality, and rapid delivery. The process allows a customer to provide ORCON with information using a diskette, EDI, drawings, patterns, or actual blankets.

ORCON then enters the digitized information into a computer, which customizes a lay-up and cuts the fiberglass and film using a computerized fabric cutter. The blanket is then heat sealed to ensure a moisture resistant product. ORCON relies heavily upon customized fixtures to seal difficult areas (such as window cut-outs), ensuring that the end blanket has the highest degree of moisture Resistance.

Anti-slumping tags are installed on large blankets to ensure that the film and the fiberglass stay together and that the fiberglass does not slump down to the bottom of the blanket after being installed vertically.
